The boundary between AI generation and actual photography lies in subtle optical imperfections. While basic prompts create overly smooth, "plastic" looking renders, photorealistic prompting emulates the physics of physical cameras:
- Natural Skin Physics: Specify subsurface scattering, subtle skin imperfections, micro-pores, fine wrinkles, and avoid buzzwords like "smooth face."
- Camera Sensor Terms: Prompting with shot on Hasselblad H6D, 35mm RAW photograph, natural ISO 100 grain guides the denoiser toward authentic photographic data distributions.
- Physically Plausible Lighting: Include specific light sources such as natural north-facing window light, three-point softbox, rim light rather than generic "good lighting."
